Permanent Photographic Exhibit in City Hall The San Pedro River Arts Council and the San Pedro Valley Arts & Historical Society worked together to share the history of Benson. The Historical Society selected photographs of historical significance from their archives. An explanation of the importance of the photo's subject to the building of Benson was written. The photo and its explanation are matted and framed, forming a descriptive display of Benson’s history on the walls of the Benson City Council Chambers. The goal of the two organizations is to raise the awareness of the struggles and strengths of the founders of Benson. To show how the city evolved to where it is today. This display is a gift to the people of the City of Benson to share our heritage and to say, "thank you" for your support of our two organizations. |
